Waste Management
Waste Sites and Transfer Stations Hours:
All people using landfills and transfer stations require an up-to-date Waste Site card from the Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen and must provide additional identification if necessary to verify card holder. Waste Site card must be presented before entry is permitted.
Only materials generated from within the Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen will be accepted at the landfill or transfer station sites.

Waste Collection Village Ward:
Residential collection every Thursday and bag-tags are required.
Industrial and Commercial collection is every Monday and Thursday and bag-tags are required. M & M Disposal is contracted by the municipality to provide this service.
Recycling Collection Village Ward:
Blue Box collection is every Tuesday. PLEASE NOTE THAT AS OF APRIL 7, 2011, BLUE BOX COLLECTION WILL CHANGE TO THURSDAYS. This is done by Peterborough County – Phone 705-775-2737 ext 302 or visit www.county.peterborough.on.ca
(Garbage Collection and Recycling within the Village Ward is Paid for Solely by Residents of the Village Ward)
- Blue Boxes are available at the Municipal Office for $5.00 + HST
- Composters are available for $30.00 + HST
- Bag Tags are $6.00 for one set of five tags and are available at all waste sites and the Municipal Office
