- When do I need a building permit?
Building permits are required for new buildings, additions, renovations and demolitions. The permit can be obtained here under the Building Department page or you may visit our Municipal office to obtain one. Our Chief Building Official will determine the cost of the permit once the application has been submitted. - When do I require a burning permit?
Residents who want to burn during the daytime hours do require a permit and can do so by calling our Fire Representative at 778-3183. You can burn without a permit no earlier than 2 hours prior to sunset and extinguish it 2 hours after sunrise, given there is no fire ban on at the time. - Where can I buy dog tags?
Each dog tag is required to have a dog tag. Tags can be purchased from the Municipal office. The Cost is $10.00 from January to the end of March then the cost increases to $20.00. - How do I contact the Animal Control Officer?
The animal control officer is Debra Haigh and can be contacted at 1-866-709-6083. - Do I require a license to have a garage sale?
Yes, a garage sale license is required and can be obtained at the Municipal office or on our website under the Documents page, anytime, before your sale for a cost of $2.00. A sale is permitted for two days and for three days if it occurs on a holiday weekend. You may have up to four sales in one year. - How can I pay for my property taxes or my water and sewer bills?
Residents can visit our office to make their payment or can leave their payment in our drop-box located next to the front door. You can also make your payment via telephone or internet banking. A Pre-Authorized Payment plan is also offered to property tax payers or for water and sewer accounts. The form is available under the Tax and Finance Department or the Documents page on our website. - What are the waste site hours?
The waste-site hours can be found on the center portion of your waste site card. Your card is required when you visit any one of our waste sites. Go to Waste Management in the website for waste site hours and locations.
